Building Blocks Preschool has proudly served Springfield area families for over 30 years. Our goal is to provide your child with the highest quality care available while providing him/her with the building blocks for their future through intellectual play. 

Our Owner

Devi Harper is on site daily interacting with families and children. Her direct involvement and "open-door" philosophy help to evolve and further develop our programs and ensures that your family has the best possible experience.

Teaching Our Children To Excel

Building Blocks Preschool promotes personal and educational growth, positive self-esteem, and a love of learning. Our programs encourage success through a well-balanced schedule of structured classroom routines and opportunities for socialization through free play. Children discover how to work and play cooperatively as they experience their emotions, resolve any disagreements that occur, and treat each other and our school's belongings with respect.

Kindergarten-Readiness Curriculum

Our established curriculum provides developmentally appropriate activities tailored to the specific abilities of each child. Our sensory-based curriculum focuses on all areas of development: Social, Cognitive, Emotional, and Physical. Our curriculum combines letter/sound recognition, pre-writing, phonemic awareness, and math. We recognize that parent engagement is essential to a child's success. Preschool staff and parents communicate daily regarding their child's development. This communication allows parents to support new skills at home and helps teachers recognize each child's needs.
